At Arab Schools we believe that a comprehensive Arts program is an essential part of students’ growth and development and therefore support and encourage creativity in all our students.
The key learning area of the arts is to provide students with unique and multiple ways of exploring, forming, expressing, communicating, and understanding their own and others’ ideas and feelings.
Students will learn art safety, and proceed on to line, shape, color, patterns, forms, space, emphasis, value, proportion, and texture. They will be given the opportunity to experiment with watercolor, acrylics, clay, pencils, pastels, clay and papier-mâché.
The Art room is located on the 2nd floor of building #2. It has tables, a smartboard, computer, and overhead projector. It has sinks and can accommodate at least 20 students.
AIS Fully Equipped Auditorium
The school has a fully air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of almost 400 people, equipped with the following:

The school is comprised of 150 classrooms divided into 2 sections, boys section which consists of 85 classrooms and girls section which consists of 65 classrooms each is 56 sqm. Furniture and classroom ambiance is carefully well designed. Balanced lighting and planned workspaces contribute to the overall feeling of welcome. All classrooms are linked via a central monitoring facility system.

Computer Laboratories
AIS has three (3) large, fully equipped computer laboratories in the Primary and High Schools, both boys and girls’ sections. Information Technology education follows the international standards of learning.

Science Facilities:
There are six (6) Science Laboratories:

Arab Schools provides a state of education through the “General Science Lab” which includes science counters equipped with sinks and can accommodate at least twenty students. It has a smart board, computer, overhead projector, skeleton models, lab equipment, locked metal storage cabinet and restroom. Emergency access is available through the back access door.
Labs allow students to design investigations, engage in scientific reasoning, manipulate equipment, record dates, analyze results, and discuss their findings. It’s critical to early learning to have hands-on investigation through laboratory experimentation, which is the best way to introduce students to scientific inquiry, the process of asking questions and conducting experiments as a way to understanding the natural world, which is the foundation of Science education.
The Library at Arab Schools contains a variety of fiction and non-fiction books in English, French, and Arabic.
Books were specifically selected to reinforce the curriculum in both languages. There are also much-loved classics and tales available for pleasure reading as well.
Bean bags are placed throughout the library for students to sit comfortably and enjoy books of their choice.
The library is divided into 6 sections. Teachers’ resources, Information Technology section, Arabic section, English section, Stage for active Reading Time, and a whole class Audio/Visual section for viewing. movies etc.
The library is equipped with multiple computers and internet access. Smart Boards and overhead projectors are installed. Periodicals, newspapers, and magazines are available.
Arab Schools engages a clinical registered nurse to oversee all student health-related issues. The clinic has a bed, and restroom, and sinks and locked medicine cabinet.
The nurse conducts regular check-ups, such as lice checks; monitors height and weight, and will administer medication when required.
She will coordinate visits from heath care professionals to raise students’ awareness on general nutrition and health issues.
We aim to educate our students about healthy eating and nutrition and to that end, we do not encourage parents to provide their children with sugary snacks, fizzy drinks, or junk food.
Please inform us in writing if your child has any food allergies that may cause severe reactions. Consuming food and drinks in classrooms are strictly prohibited.
At Arab International School, we have 2 spacious, fully air-conditioned operational cafeterias, accommodating between 100 to 150 students.
The canteen provides students with healthy meals, snacks, and drinks. Break duty teachers are monitoring students during the break times to avoid congestion near the canteen
Fitness Room:
At Arab International School, the Gym rooms are very well equipped in a way that serves all ages. We aim at enhancing the body fitness of our students.
There are (2) gymnasiums in the school; one is located in the boy’s section and another along with an area for aerobics in the girl’s section. Another small well equipped playing area for students of the Upper Primary and the KG is located in the girl’s section as well.
Courts:
AIS has four (4) fully air-conditioned multipurpose Courts. The courts are used for different kinds of sports such as basketball, football, soccer, and volleyball and for other athletic activities.
The school has (3) Green playground covered with safe fabricated manufactured grass designed for the safety of the students to be used by both Preschool and Elementary students as physical education plays a very important role in a child’s growth.
The main boy’s section stadium is shaded with umbrellas to screen the sunlight in the morning and provided with lights for evening football matches and for other athletic activities.
Swimming Pools:
AIS has (2) swimming pool areas which are equipped with shower rooms and other facilities to meet students’ needs from preschool to the upper school levels. A shallow pool for the children to learn the basics of swimming and an Olympic size pool for the children to develop their skills and learn advanced techniques of swimming and other aquatic sports.
Recreation Areas:
Sand Room
Located in the playground area, our Water/Sand Room has specialized tables made for these mediums. Water/sand involves sensory experiences that appeal to young children, and are natural companions in scientific explorations and engage children in making careful observations as well as classification, comparison, measurement, and problem-solving activities. Students are given the opportunity to visit the Water/Sand area several times per week.
Playing Areas
The Motor Development Room is equipped with a rock-climbing wall, ball pits, playhouses, seesaws, slides, giant games, crawling tunnels, and amaze. The Indoor Motor Development Room provides an outlet for children’s high spirits and creative energy. There are many activities for children to develop their gross motor skills and to just “let loose”.
